Why do I see multiple charges from 7ART?
Seeing more than one 7ART transaction on your bank statement does not always mean you were charged twice.
Transactions can appear separately because they relate to different purchases, a subscription renewal, or the way your bank displays authorization holds and completed payments.
What could the charges be for?
Multiple transactions may relate to different purchases on your account, including:
- Your 7ART subscription
- A subscription renewal
- A credit top-up
- One-time purchases made separately from your subscription
One-time purchases are billed separately from your recurring subscription, so they may appear as individual transactions even when purchased around the same time.
Could one of the transactions be a temporary bank hold?
Yes. In some cases, your bank may first place a temporary authorization hold when a payment is initiated.
An authorization hold is not necessarily an additional completed charge. It is used by the bank or payment provider to confirm that the payment method is valid and that the funds are available.
When the payment is completed, or captured, your bank may temporarily show both:
- A pending authorization
- The completed payment
The pending authorization should normally be released or updated by your bank after the transaction is processed.
Because the way pending transactions are displayed and released depends on your bank, contact your bank or card issuer if an authorization remains visible longer than expected.
What does “captured” mean?
A captured payment means the transaction has been successfully completed and the payment has been collected.
This is different from a temporary authorization or pending hold.
If your statement shows both a pending transaction and a completed transaction for the same amount, check their statuses before assuming that two payments were collected.
Could one of the charges be my subscription renewal?
Yes. 7ART paid subscriptions renew automatically according to the billing period you selected unless you cancel before the next renewal.
If one charge appeared when you first subscribed and another appeared later, check whether the second transaction matches your subscription renewal date.
For more information, see How does my 7ART subscription and renewal work?
Why did I receive several charges on the same day?
If several completed transactions appear on the same date, they may represent separate products or purchases completed during the same session.
For example, your subscription and an optional one-time product or add-on may be billed separately rather than combined into a single transaction.
Different amounts can also help you identify which transaction relates to each purchase.
What if I see the same charge twice?
First, check the status of both transactions.
If one is marked as pending while the other is completed, the pending transaction may be a temporary authorization hold rather than a second completed payment.
If both transactions are completed and you believe you were charged twice for the same purchase, contact our support team so we can review the payments associated with your account.
Please provide:
- The email address connected to your 7ART account
- The amount of each transaction
- The date of each transaction
- The currency shown on your statement
- Whether each transaction is pending or completed
- A screenshot of the transactions, if available
For your security, do not send your full card number or other sensitive payment details.
I don’t recognize one of the charges
First, consider whether you recently:
- Started or renewed a subscription
- Purchased additional credits
- Purchased an optional one-time product or add-on
- Had a payment authorization that is still showing as pending
If you still cannot identify the transaction, contact our support team and we’ll help you review it.
