What the 3D studio can do

From a reference photo to a textured mesh you can rig, render or print.

INPUTS

A photo, four angles, or just a sentence

Three ways in: a single image, several images of the same subject, or a text prompt with no reference at all. Meshy 6, Hunyuan 3.1 Pro and Tripo 2.5 all take up to four images and all three accept text; Trellis 2 is single-image only. Multi-view keeps front, back, left and right in their proper slots so the model knows which side it is looking at.

SURFACE

Textured output, and a retexture pass when it is not right

Models come back textured, with PBR available on Meshy 6, Hunyuan 3.1 Pro and Tripo 2.5. If the geometry is right but the finish is not, the retexture tool re-skins an existing mesh from a prompt or a style image without rebuilding it — 60 credits instead of a fresh generation.

REVIEW

Spin it before you commit to it

Every result opens in a real 3D viewer in the browser — orbit it, look under it, check the back before you download. You can also paste in a mesh URL you already have (.glb, .obj, .fbx or .stl) to view it or run it through retexture and remesh.

OUTPUT

Quad topology, pose, and a print-ready remesh

Meshy 6 can return quad topology, an A-pose or T-pose, and a texture prompt — the options a mesh needs if a rig is coming next. The remesh tool cleans a model for printing and exports STL, OBJ or GLB, with a target height and a choice of where the origin sits, for 40 credits.

DIRECTOR

Talk it through instead of filling in a form

Simple mode is a conversation. Describe the object, attach up to four reference photos, and the 3D director picks the mode, the engine, the topology and the polycount, then hands you a plan to approve. If the subject is detailed and you have no reference, it offers to render a concept image first — you approve that image, and only then is it converted to 3D.

INSPECT

Wireframe, clay, face counts, watertight check

The viewer reports face and vertex counts and the topology it came back with, and switches between textured, wireframe, clay and normals so you can see the geometry under the paint. It also scans the mesh for open edges and tells you whether it is watertight before you send it to a slicer. Four backgrounds, four lighting presets, fullscreen.

FILES

Files land in your library, in every format

Every run lands in your 3D library, and the download menu carries GLB plus FBX, OBJ and USDZ whenever the engine returns them; print prep adds STL. Files are copied to our own storage, so the links keep working after the provider's temporary URLs expire. Close the tab mid-render and the job picks itself back up when you return.

Frequently asked questions

  • Flat per generation, so you know the price before you press it: Meshy 6 is 240 credits, Hunyuan 3.1 Pro is 80, Trellis 2 is 60 and Tripo 2.5 is 60. The two follow-up tools are cheaper than a rerun — retexture is 60 and remesh is 40. The quality toggles do not change the charge: turning PBR on, raising the polycount or switching topology costs the same as leaving them alone.

  • Meshy 6 is the all-rounder and the only one that offers quad topology, A/T-pose output and a texture prompt, which is what you want if the mesh is heading for a rig. Hunyuan 3.1 Pro is the detail option with PBR and up to four images. Tripo 2.5 is the fastest of the textured engines. Trellis 2 is the cheap single-image pass — good for roughing an idea out, but it takes one image only and does not do PBR.

  • Up to four for Meshy 6, Hunyuan 3.1 Pro and Tripo 2.5, in named front / back / left / right slots so the positions are preserved. Trellis 2 accepts a single image. All except Trellis 2 also work from text alone with no image at all.

  • Yes — results download as a mesh and the remesh tool exports STL, OBJ or GLB. 7ART's terms permit personal and commercial use of generated content, subject to those terms, applicable law and any restrictions the underlying model providers impose; because that varies by country, confirm what applies to you before shipping an asset in a paid product. Downloading requires a paid plan.

  • You get the credits back. 3D is one of the few tools with no second provider behind it — it runs on fal only, deliberately, rather than pretending a fallback exists. So instead of quietly retrying somewhere else and charging you for it, a failed 3D job refunds.

  • That is what the remesh tool is for. It cleans the mesh for printing, lets you set a target height in centimetres, choose whether the origin sits at the bottom or the centre, and export STL, OBJ or GLB. It costs 40 credits and runs on an existing model, so you are not paying for a new generation to get a printable version.

  • Minutes, not seconds. Meshy 6 is the heaviest of the four engines and usually takes a few minutes; the lighter ones finish sooner. The studio waits up to fifteen minutes before it calls a job failed and refunds it. You can leave the page — it resumes tracking anything still running when you come back — and you can have four heavy jobs (video, lipsync, motion and 3D) going at once.

  • No. The studio opens in Simple mode, which is a chat: you say what you want, attach references if you have them, and the 3D director writes the plan — mode, engine, topology, polycount, PBR, pose — for you to approve. Pro mode puts the same controls in front of you as toggles and sliders if you would rather set them yourself. Nothing is charged until you start a run.

  • No. 7ART generates the mesh and its textures; it does not rig or animate. What it does is make rigging elsewhere easier — Meshy 6 can return quad topology and an A-pose or T-pose, which is what Blender, Mixamo or your game engine's rigging tools want. If auto-rigging inside the same tool is a requirement, a dedicated 3D suite is the better buy.

  • No. The free-tier "Generated on 7ART.ai" watermark is baked into image outputs only. It is never applied to a mesh or its texture maps, so what you get is the file the engine produced.

  • Yes, with one limit: you point the studio at a link rather than uploading a mesh file. Paste a public https URL ending in .glb, .obj, .fbx or .stl — or pick anything already in your 3D library — and you can view it, retexture it, or run print prep on it. Reference images are different: those upload normally from your device, or come straight from your 7ART image library.

  • Yes. Pro mode has a polycount slider on every engine: 10,000 to 300,000 on Meshy 6, Trellis 2 and Tripo 2.5, and 40,000 to 1.5 million on Hunyuan 3.1 Pro, which is the one to reach for when the detail has to survive a close-up. Topology is a separate control and only Meshy 6 offers it, quad or triangle. In Simple mode the 3D director picks them for you and lists them in the plan you approve, and afterwards the viewer reports the face and vertex counts you actually got.
